. . . always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you . . .
1 peter 3;15

Classical Conversations' "mission is to know God and to make Him known."
So, what would your Challenge student say if someone asked them why they are a Christian?
When I asked that question of my Challenge B students, it became abundantly clear that we have a lot of work to do.
Every Christian should have a base Elevator Pitch for Jesus that they can use as a starting point to engage with people who inquire about our faith.
An Elevator Pitch for Jesus is a less than one minute compelling and concise summary of your Christian testimony and the faith. It goes beyond just explaining that Jesus loves everyone; it invites the listener to explore the transformative power of a relationship with Jesus Christ and the hope and purpose it brings to life.
To be effective your Elevator Pitch for Jesus must be not only be based on your personal relationship with Jesus, but you must also be able to adapt it to your audience.
For though I am free from all men, I have made myself a servant to all, that I might win the more; and to the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might win Jews: to those who are under the law, as under the law, that I might win those who are under the law; to those who are without law, as without law (not being without law toward God, but under law toward Christ), that I might win those who are without law; to the weak I became as weak, that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all men, that I might by all means save some. Now this I do for the gospel's sake, that I may be partaker of it with you.
1 Corinthians 9:19-23
NKJV
So why is Mr. A a Bible believing Christian? Well, I have learned a few things during my life . . .
First and foremost, with absolute conviction and knowledge, I have learned that I AM GOING TO DIE!
It's true . . . 10 out of 10 people die, and I don't plan on beating the odds.
Which brings me to the second thing that I've learned in life: I do what I want!
You may be able to change my mind on a topic and alter my actions, but there is no chance you convince me that I do anything I don't want to do.
However, I have also learned that I am a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad person.
You know it's true . . . and it's okay to admit it.
And then I realized that everyone else in the world is exactly like me.
Which leads to the logical conclusion that only God can save me.
Only God can take what's wrong with the world and make it right. I can't do it, you can't do it, and our political elites certainly can't do it. Only God can save us.
And I came to this conclusion because a Biblical Worldview is the only explanation of the of world as it really is that appears to be true.
Do you want to know why?
