Warrior Continues His Battle For Survival

Sasquatch is Anti-Social . . . But Sharing is Caring

I didn’t think Warrior would survive Wednesday night (see Warrior: From Death to Life with Prayer). But he survived the night and continues his battle for survival.

Thursday was a brutal day. Warrior’s fever from the infection was making him shake uncontrollably, to the point of convulsing, and I could barely get him to drink water. There were multiple times that day when Jennie and I questioned why I hadn’t ended Warrior’s suffering. Yet I wanted to give time for the Penicillin to work. By Thursday evening I could see the Penicillin was starting to take effect.

On Friday Warrior was significantly better and I started to feed him calf replacer in addition to water.

Warrior continued to improve on Saturday and he ate calf replacer mixed with commercial hog feed in a mush.

Sunday brought more strength and more comfortable rest for Warrior. He began eating solid food in addition to his calf replacer.

Warrior is by no means out of the woods yet. His leg still needs to heal and he has lost a lot of weight. I’ll keep nursing him back to health, but whether he survives or dies is in God’s hands.
