Bacon’s a pro at farrowing in the forests of Oregon. She knows that her job is to find a suitable place to give birth and then Sasquatch will make sure she and her little ones stay dry while lugging her water and food.
Luckily, Bacon set up this time near the main road, “Shakedown Street”, only a hundred yards or so from the house. This has made life fairly easy on Sasquatch.Â
We put up a tarp to keep her dry during the rain, but the rain kept coming, so we’ve been experimenting with shelters. She’s currently in this nest with the tarp and a lean-to made out of a cattle panel and some plastic roof panels. It’s working great so far.
