Silvo-Pasture Fall Seeding – Before and After

Sasquatch is Anti-Social . . . But Sharing is Caring

Pigs can do some serious damage to land if left to their own devices. But in order to change the regrowth forests to be more conducive to raising pigs, we need to do some damage.

We first need to get rid of the thick under brush that adds tinder to wildfires. By getting rid of the unwanted detritus, it allows us to go back in and replant the forest floors with pasture grasses.

Hopefully, we’re creating a beautiful silvo-pasture that will be able to sustain pastured pigs and reduce wildfire danger while managing the regrowth Douglas Fir for future harvesting.
