The Vision of Sasquatch Wallows: Stewarding God’s Creation
When life doesn’t go our way, or when there’s a global pandemic, people often say that God has a plan.
And they are correct.
So what do I see as God’s big picture plan as it applies to Sasquatch Wallows? I don’t claim to know God’s entire plan, but I like starting at the beginning with the basics:
The Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and keep it.

Sasquatch Wallows aims to steward God’s creation, in the manner God instructed man to work and keep the garden; that is, to create an Edenic farm centered around raising hogs naturally, sustainably, and ethically.
The food plots will consist primarily of clover, oats, peas, radishes, turnips, beets, potatoes, and other pasture forages. The pigs will eat and root up the food plots. After the pigs are rotated to a new pasture, we will re-seed the pasture to ensure that the productivity and carrying capacity after each rotation is increased.
We also plan on planting various fruit and nut trees on the edges of the food plots and interspersed with the regrowth timber. With a variety of apple, cherry, fig, plum, pear, hazelnut, oaks, and other trees, the pigs will have fresh fruit and nuts from May to November, in addition to the food plot forages all year.
Of course, this vision is subject to change. We want to be guided by and walk with God in this adventure.
