While we were able to track and call a female mountain lion in the last snow storm, everyone had an uneasy feeling that she wasn’t our problem lion. Her boyfriend was first spotted last Friday, on a property down the road. On Sunday we spotted his tracks down by the creek.
Today, after spending the morning with the electrician getting the back-up generator set up, I headed into town for CC. Unfortunately, while I was gone, the male mountain lion attacked. Sweetie Pie has superficial wounds to her backside and her left ham. I’m fairly confident she will be fine. She and the other finishers were scared off and I found them nearly a mile down the road after several texts and emails from neighbors.
After wrangling those pigs, I checked on Momma and Tassels. One of Momma’s striped piglets is missing.
